Are Family Photos Still a Thing?

Lilly Hay Newman asks a great question on Gizmodo today.  Are family photos still a thing?

I remember fondly getting together in large or small groups for a family picture, but that doesn't seem to happen much any more.  Heck, my wife and I don't even get our picture taken together very often, and I'm a photographer!

I hope family pictures aren't going the way of the dodo.  That would be a tragedy.

What say you?  Do you still do informal family photos?
