Sad Travels - A Photographic Tribute to Laura Kathleen Padilla, PhD

A dear family member passed away last Sunday after battling cancer for more than a decade.  Laura Kathleen Padilla was an amazing woman who made a tremendous impact on the world in her brief 39 years on this earth.  Though she has departed, she now shares eternity with our beloved relatives who left before us; her view of our home town must be the stuff of our dreams.  It is with this in mind that I humbly submit some of the photos that I created while I was home in New Mexico for her funeral.  The trip home was sad, but visiting with my wonderful family reminded me of what a beautiful place the world is.

Laura, I love you and miss you.  These photos were made with you on my mind.

 A river.   To cross.

A river.   To cross.

The path may be clear, but the destination is a mystery.  Faith is our only guide.
